Hi!  Thank you for visiting my site. I have been a teacher for over twenty years. Throughout my career, I have always found a way to incorporate art in the classroom. Art has been a common thread throughout my entire professional and personal life and I am so excited to be able to share this passion with students!

My goal as as an art educator is to create an environment where students feel free to express themselves.  I welcome all learners with varying abilities and skill levels. I stress that it’s okay to make mistakes and that art requires practice and courage, just like riding a bike!

My artistic interests are many and varied.  I have a great appreciation for artistic expression of other cultures and one of my most rewarding experiences was studying metal smithing at a leading independent studio in Chang Mai (Thailand).  I have also been enameling and working with copper for several years and have taken coursework at Thompson Enamel in Bellevue, Kentucky.  I also continue to paint whenever I am able to.
.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love hiking, gardening and traveling.

Thank you for visiting my site!
